This short story is part of a new BTI series: 70% Fiction, 30% True.

There's a mansion in Bel-Air that you need to take Sunset Blvd. to get to but once you get to this mansion a large man asks for your name and then scrolls on an iPad and says "you guys are good" and you walk down white cobblestone steps past Porsches and Ferraris and enter a house full of open windows and there are different bars set up in each corner of the house with a different bartender behind them and the guy from Titanic is there and the comedian from Ride Along is there and the girl from the Blurred Lines music video is there but she's stealing everyone's coke and disappearing into the bathroom and the other gorgeous women are walking around staring at their phones looking up once every 20 minutes to see if there is someone famous that's arrived like the guy that used to host American Idol and there are pictures of naked women hanging on the walls for this Playboy-esque magazine that cost $30 to buy at your local newsstand but they have a digital copy of it as well for your tablet and when other people arrive at this party to watch the Oscars everyone gets a slightly more drunk while disappearing into the bathroom for long instances and models are sniffling in corners and men wearing Hugo Boss suits are talking about deals that they're closing for their clients and the pool out back is now illuminated and you stare out at a city and wonder if they throw parties like the one you're at in Boston or North Carolina where people probably don’t buy $30 magazines on newsstands and then you get distracted because the guy that played Spider Man is walking out of his Uber and is surrounded by an entourage of women that don't look like his wife and your friend comes up to you and says what a great time he is having at this party and you smile back and say you're having one hell of a good time too.
